Resonant Sounds, LLC, Creates Music Environments and Educational Resources
OUR MISSION:
The health and well-being of our children shape the future of our culture. Our collective responsibility is to ensure that babies are safe, secure and healthy. We support peaceful, calm, and healthy connections between parents and their babies during pregnancy and birth.
We began our company in response to the stresses placed on parents and their babies.
1. Family units are increasingly dispersed, creating a huge burden on a new parent. It’s hard to find qualified, affordable caregivers or a “village” to help.
2. Healthcare and insurance companies are paying more attention to efficient time management than to building personal relationships that provide an intimate and nurturing connection. This causes stress in patients as well as in the healthcare staff.
3. Not prioritizing parent-child bonding at birth, is having a dramatic impact on populations. Documented research shows that positive parent-child bonding impacts a baby’s sense of security, their ability to trust, their personal self-confidence and their feelings of compassion throughout their lives. These skills are the foundation for becoming a successful and happy adult.
4. In addition, easily accessible social media often contains inaccurate information, can become a great distraction, and can make a new parent feel insecure and overwhelmed.
Resonant Sounds, LLC, serves these issues in two ways.
We Offer:
Social Impact Theatre ~ Through dramatized adapted true stories, our projects reveal many of the challenges currently being experienced in pregnancy and birth. These projects are a valuable addition to training/teaching programs.
Positive Intention Music™ ~ To support parent-child bonding during the critical initial periods of an infant’s life as well as the last trimester in utero, we offer beautiful and engaging music. Positive Intention Music ™ has been clinically tested to facilitate parent-child bonding at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Albany, NY and at Loma Linda Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. In the songwriting and arranging, the scientific principles of psycho-acoustics, using rhythm, tempo and pitch, create specific responses in the brain of the listener. All lyrics support a calm and loving parent-infant connection.
