Even in the Womb,
your baby is listening

The sounds sprinkle down, down, down,

into the skin, through the skin,

into the water that surrounds a little soul.

The sounds enter the little ears so newly formed,

still swimming in the liquid of life.

Beat, beat goes the mother’s heart;

Swoosh, swoosh, the sounds come and go;

This is the music of you -

a symphony in swirling tides -

Bathing each fiber of this new and precious life.
